BAGHDAD - A suicide car bomber rammed his vehicle into an Iraqi police checkpoint, killing two people and wounding five in the Doura district of southern Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - The motorcade of the deputy Interior Ministry for police affairs came under fire near al-Nidaa mosque in northern Baghdad, police said. He was unharmed but two of his guards were seriously wounded.

BAGHDAD - Mortar rounds landed in different districts of Baghdad on Sunday, killing one person and wounding 20, police said.

BAGHDAD - Five Iraqi soldiers were wounded when their patrol was the target of a roadside bomb in the Baghdad district of Adhamiya, near the Sunni Abu Hanifa mosque.

NEAR BAQUBA - The bodies of 21 men, including 19 who were kidnapped by gunmen at a fake checkpoint near Baquba on Sunday, were found bound and shot in the head and chest, Iraqi police and hospital sources said.

DOUR - Iraqi and U.S. forces arrested at least 50 suspected insurgents, including the mayor of Dour, during an operation in the town that began on Saturday, the U.S. military said during a news conference in Tikrit. Dour is near Tikrit, 175 km (110 miles) north of Baghdad.

RAMADI - Police arrested two members of al-Qaeda in Iraq and discovered a weapons cache in the Sunni stronghold of Ramadi, 110 km (70 miles) west of Baghdad, police said.

LATIFIYA - Police captured nine suspected insurgents in an operation on Sunday in the town of Latifiya, 40 km (25 miles) south of Baghdad, the U.S. military said.

BASRA - One British soldier was killed and a second wounded when their patrol came under fire in Basra, British military spokesman Major David Gell said. It was the second British soldier to be killed in two days.

Falluja- Unknown gunmen on Monday afternoon killed a member of Falluja Clerics Council in the Sunni city of Falluja, 45 km west of Baghdad, a security source said.

Diala- At least two civilians were seriously injured in a mortar attack on a residential area at Hibhib district, Diala province, while police forces in the district detained 16 suspected militants in a security crackdown there, a police source said on Monday.

Mosul- Police patrols found on Monday afternoon three unidentified bodies dumped in different parts of the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, a police source said.

Sawirah- Iraqi security forces, backed by U.S. troops, detained 13 suspected militants during a security crackdown near Sawirah, 50 km southeast of Baghdad, a police source said on Monday.

Diala- Iraqi police said on Monday 19 kidnapped people were found dead in Diala province, 57 km northeast of Baghdad, while an eyewitness said 10 more people were also forced at gunpoint on Monday to unknown destination after a minibus was intercepted by a fake checkpoint.

Falluja- Iraqi police said Monday three unknown bodies were found in Falluja city, 45 km west of Baghdad.

Haditha- Mortar rounds were fired onto a U.S. base in Haditha city, 380 km west of Baghdad, local residents said on Monday.

Khalis- Four people were killed and thirty others were injured when an explosive charge went off in the main marketplace in central Iraq, a police source said on Monday.

Tikrit- U.S. forces arrested the mayor of al-Dawr city, east of Tikrit, and more than 50 suspected gunmen during the fourth day of the military operations being conducted in the city, a U.S. security source in Salah ad-Din province said on Monday.

Baghdad- Two civilians were killed and 13 others wounded when a car bomb went off in al-Bayyaa neighborhood, southwest of the capital Baghdad, an Iraqi police source said.

Mosul- U.S. forces killed three brothers after it raided a house in al-Bakr neighborhood, northeast of Mosul, and killed three others from another family in al-Salam neighborhood during the early hours of Monday.

Baghdad- The body of Khaled Hassan, director of Baghdad University’s Political Science College dean's office, was found two days after he was kidnapped by an armed group, a college source said.

Karbala- Iraqi army forces arrested on Monday three gunmen after an hour long clashes between the army and an armed group west of the city, the Karbala governor said.

Baghdad- Iraqi security forces killed two "terrorists" and arrested 25 suspects in different areas of the capital Baghdad, a source from the Baghdad operations command said.

Baghdad - A road side bomb exploded near Nidaa Mosque in Qahira district having three injuries.

Baghdad - A road side bomb targeted a patrol of the Iraqi army passing through the general company of grains in Bab Al-Muathim killing 2 and 3 were injured.

Baghdad - A mortar shell targeted a school building (Imuma school) having some damage without casualties.

Baghdad - An Iraqi soldier killed by a sniper in Al-Ghadeer neighborhood.

Baghdad - A motorist was killed at American check point which was near Um Al-Tibool mosque inYarmouk neighborhood. The dead was an Iraqi soldier.

Baghdad - 14 corpses were found in Baghdad: Kharkh bank ( 11 ) : Saidiyah (3), Amil(2), Doura (2) , Hurriya (1) , Yarmouk (1) , Mahmudiya (1) Rusafa bank ( 3) Sheikh Umar (1) , Zayuna (1) , Sadr city (1)

Ghalbia - Iraqi army headquarter in Ghalbia were attacked by unknown gunmen to prevent the army from giving rescue to the people in Jizan and the clashes lasted more than four hours. Also, 4 cars opened fire on civilian cars - injuring 5 who were evacuated at once to Al_Kindi hospital in Baghdad as it is impossible to take them to Baquba via Hadid town which declared loyalty to the Islamic State.

Mandli - A bomb was put under a trailer was carrying rice (30 tons) which was supposed to be delivered to people in Mandli causing loss of this amount of rice. Those people haven’t got ration for seven months.

Sadiya - 2 suspects were arrested in Sadiya town in Khanqeen (North east Baquba) military source said from the fifth division of Iraqi army.

Baquba - A bomb was put inside a broken freezer which was set to be a table for sellers inside Al-Khalis city (north Baquba) resulting in three female sellers killed and another is missing while 23 were injured (6 of them were women).

Kirkuk - A truck filled with explosions hit an elementary school for girls, resulting in 12 killed and (169) injured most of them girls and women. The damage was huge in the area (shops and houses were destroyed and cars burned).

Al Dour - 200 suspects arrested by the Iraqi security forces from Al-Dour (south of Tikrit and north of Baghdad).

Basra - A British patrol was ambushed by gunmen. No casualties of British military, four gunmen were injured.

Basra - Late last night, the British Chancellery was hit by mortar shelling and Katusha missiles without damages.
